Related Music Groups in Tavistock

There are two ensembles based in the Tavistock area which have their origins linked to Blowzone. They provide a useful addition to the music scene in Tavistock and rehearsals/events are co-ordinated with those of Blowzone.

Frequently, we organise joint concerts where we can demonstrate our full range of talent. These groups are always happy to welcome new members.

Flute Cocktail

Devon’s largest flute choir, creating music since 2000.
An ensemble of flautists based in Tavistock, Devon, encompassing a wide variety of ages, abilities and genres of music. Flute Cocktail use a mix of concert, alto, bass flutes and piccolos for a beautiful in-depth sound.
Flute cocktail rehearses on alternate Thursdays to Blowzone.

Saxophonics

Saxophonics is a community saxophone ensemble with members from across Devon and Cornwall, and plays a selection of music arranged for soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxes.
Saxophonics rehearses on Tuesdays in Tavistock.
